Here's a glimpse into my painting process:
start blocking in the shapes, begin modeling the forms too soon, screw up, try to fix it, screw it up even more, try to fix it again, looks kinda okay now, continue working, screw it up again, try to figure out what the color I'm looking at is, how to mix the color i want, fail to mix it, continue to over work the painting, realize I've over worked it, wipe it off and start the whole process over. Now continue to do the same thing for the next four hours.
It's still really fun and enjoyable though.
